40th Season Gala
On October 29, San Francisco Performances celebrated its 40th Anniversary Gala at the War Memorial Veterans Building in San Francisco. The evening, which featured a concert with pianist Richard Goode, was a great success and raised more than $250,000 to support SF Performances’ award-winning arts education programs.
Hosted by Gala Co-Chairs father and daughter duo Neil Goteiner and Nicole Goteiner Lopez, the gala honored noted philanthropists and longtime San Francisco Performances supporters, Fred Levin and Nancy Livingston of the Shenson Foundation.
The festivities began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the loggia of the Green Room, followed by Richard Goode’s concert in the Herbst Theatre which featured works by Janáček, Chopin, and Debussy. Following the concert, guests returned to the Green Room for dinner and a spirited fund-a-need drive, introduced by Guitar Artist-in-Residence Jason Vieaux, which brought in over $130,000—a new record!
