Herbst Theatre

401 Van Ness Avenue at McAllister
Veterans Building
San Francisco

A Note on the Herbst Closure Starting in MaY 2013:

We are thrilled that the Herbst Theatre, our primary presenting venue, is currently undergoing seismic retrofitting and upgrades. The Veterans Building and Theatre will be closed through the summer of 2015. We will return to the exciting, newly renovated theater in the fall of 2015.

During the closure, SF Performances will continue presenting in the Civic Center; at the new SFJAZZ Center, at the renovated Nourse Theater, at Davies Symphony Hall, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and at the SF Conservatory of Music Concert Hall. We will also continue using Lam Research Theater at YBCA, St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Berkeley and Salons at the Hotel Rex.

We look forward to sharing many memorable performances with you!

Herbst Theatre is part of the War Memorial Performing Arts Center and across the street from City Hall on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco. A 919-seat recital hall, Herbst Theatre is the venue used most often for San Francisco Performances' events, offering a great opportunity to see world-class artists in an intimate setting.
