38th Season Gala

On October 5, San Francisco Performances celebrated the launch of its 38th Season with its annual fundraising Gala at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. The event―which featured a performance by soprano Deborah Voigt and pianist Steven Bailey―was a great success and raised more than $190,000 to support SF Performances’ award-winning arts education programs.

Hosted by Gala Chairs Camilla Smith and Jeanne Newman, the evening included cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, dinner and a short performance from Minor F, an all-girl jazz ensemble from the Oakland School for the Arts, and jazz trumpeter and San Francisco Jazz Artist-in-Residence Sean Jones. A spirited Fund-a-Need drive followed and brought in over $85,000. The evening concluded with a stellar performance from Ms. Voigt and Mr. Bailey.
