San Francisco Performances named one of eight Cornerstone Arts Organizations in the state of California by the James Irvine Foundation

San Francisco Performances and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts jointly awarded the first arts grant made in California by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation of $2 million for endowment and artist-in-residence programs

1998

San Francisco Performances awarded a three-year Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant of $100,000 to support the Dance program
